Meet Our Pastor Rev. James T. Allen
1990-Current
Rev. James T. Allen is the current Pastor at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Allen pastored the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Oakland Florida, before coming to St. John. Pastor Allen was licensed to preach in 1982, ordained in 1983, and was called to pastor his home church in 1984, where he pastored for several years. Pastor Allen was one of the founding members of the Trinity Baptist Church, a sister church in the association. Pastor Allen was formerly in the military, where he served in the army for nine years and three months as a medical specialist. Rev. Allen's education includes one year at Florida A&M University, two-plus years at Valencia University, Louisville College of Computer Science, Louisville, Kentucky; numerous military classes, numerous religious classes at the local and state convention and in 2015, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from St. Thomas from St. Thomas Christian University, Jacksonville, FL. Pastor Allen has been married to Rosa "Barbara" Siplin since 1962, and they have been blessed with four children, plus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
